Cookie policy
Cookies and similar browser storage help a website remember information. This policy covers our public website. Optional analytics is off by default, and you can change your choice at any time.
Updated 3 October 2026Necessary browser storage
The language preference cookie NEXT_LOCALE supports language selection. Its lifetime is controlled by the site’s language-routing configuration and browser; it is a session cookie in the current configuration. The localStorage entry espresso-privacy-v1 stores your analytics choice, policy version and choice date. We honour that choice for 180 days, then ask again; the entry remains on your device until replaced or cleared. These functions do not require optional analytics consent.
Chat storage, only when you open chat
When you open the AI chat, sessionStorage stores espresso-chat-session-id and conversation entries named espresso-chat-history:<session>:<language>. The local conversation is limited to the most recent 30 messages. This storage supports the chat you request and normally lasts for the browser-tab session (browser session restoration can preserve it). You can clear it with your browser’s site-data controls. Closing the chat panel does not erase the conversation.
Optional analytics and performance
If you accept analytics, we load Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They measure visits and loading performance; Vercel documents cookie-free Web Analytics and anonymous performance data. Although these tools are not advertising cookies, we keep both behind your analytics choice. They remain unloaded when you reject or have not chosen. See Vercel’s documentation linked below for provider details.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer or the button below. Accept analytics and Reject analytics are equally available; Manage preferences lets you keep necessary functions and choose optional analytics. Withdrawing consent disables future analytics and reloads the page to remove already loaded measurement scripts. Your choice applies across the four language versions in this browser. It does not automatically apply on other devices or browsers.
Browser controls and linked websites
You can remove cookies and site data through your browser. Removing your privacy preference means we ask again, with analytics still off by default. If browser storage is unavailable, analytics remains off and we cannot remember your choice. Following an external logo or other link takes you to a separate website whose storage and privacy choices are managed there.
